Tom Weinberger

Born in Israel,  and graduated from the Amal School of Arts and  Sciences. Upon graduation joined the Batsheva Ensemble in and the Batsheva Dance Company, under artistic director Ohad  Naharin. In 2012 became a founding member of L-E-V under Sharon  Eyal and Guy Behar. Tom danced with the Gothenburg Ballet, was a  guest artist with Michael Keegan Dolan's-Fabulous Beast Dance  Theater and with the Forsyth Company.                                                                                                                        
He began choreographing under ‘Batsheva Dancers Create’ during  his time with the company. In 2014 his first solo work won the  International Solo Tanz Theater Festival (Stuttgart) which  toured to Brazil and Germany. Since, Tom has choreographed works  at Johannes Wieland Dance Company,  Netherlands Dans Theater 2, Haramt Massah Festival, Springboard Dans Montreal, Arts  Umbrella, SUNY Purchase College, YC2 and more.  
  
He is a certified Gaga teacher and for the past 15 years has  taught in a variety of schools and programs such as NDT Summer intensive ( 2010 - 2018) , San Francisco Conservatory  of Dance, Taipei University of the arts, Springboard Dans  Montreal,  B12, Arts Umbrella, Nueva Officina Dansa among many others.  
In 2016 Tom was invited to be artist in residence by the Charles  and Lynn Schusterman Foundation residency program in  collaboration with the Israel Institute at SUNY Purchase college in New York.
